Holding a German university degree and PhD in chemistry, I have worked for 11 years in the chemical industry and founded and managed a chemical laboratory. Starting from 1997 I worked as an analytical chemist and inspector for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague / Netherlands. During this employment I have been on long-term work-related assignments in the USA, Russia, India and other non-European countries. Hence, I did not only gain language competency but cross-cultural knowledge as well.
I am certified as a translator in Germany. My first language is German, my main foreign language is English. Additional languages: French (Diplôme de Langue).
Since 2009 I have been living and working as a freelance translator in Celle/Germany. I am a member of the German Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ).
